Tips from the Pros
Driving Tips from Joe Findley and Vinny Jacobs
Tee your ball up with at least half the ball above the top of your driver to gain distance and promote a draw. If you pop up or sky your tee shot, move farther away and set your driver slightly inside the center of the ball. This will promote a flatter swing plane with an inside approach to the ball. The tee should still be in the ground and not broken on a properly struck tee shot. Only tee the ball lower if you are trying to intentionally fade the ball.

WANT TO HIT IT SOLID !!! Instead of just wacking at it, think of your swing as being like a roller coaster. When a roller coaster goes up the first hill, it climbs very slowly to the top, think of that as being your backswing, and when it goes down that first hill, it goes down with gradual forceful momentum, that represents your downswing, so slow back and gradual acceleration through, try not to hit it too hard until your clubhead is about two feet away from the ball, this will lead to more solid tee shots and that equates to more distance.

Vinny Jacobs
